Interesting problem. CC seeking to Redevelopment Area passed item in CC, City Councilman moved to reconsider, following week came up and continued to next week, this week, Tuesday, came up on agenda, CC member withdrew motion , and CC closed agenda item without action.

Whoa, I said, in email to Mayor, Motion to reconsider, if approved , can not be withdrawn, and a new vote on item must be made, otherwise original vote is null and void and the whole thing goes down the drain. So when they failed to vote , after the reconsideration of the item,  the Redevelopment Agency is out on  a limb with the proposal unapproved.

Will be interesting to see how they get around this.

City Clerk said the motion was withdrawn Tuesday night, and I said , the motion had to be made on the day the vote was taken, which was two weeks ago, so mover can not withdraw

Seem to be some CYA going on!

Don't have a dog in that fight , but it is interesting.

Now having trouble with the CC minutes,  City Clerk does not take minutes for the Study Sessions, so I have asked the CA if the City Clerk is in violation of state law and  city charter which requires the City Clerk to keep minutes on the Proceedings and Actions of the agency.

They have switched to action minutes instead of summaries, apparently to keep information out of the approved minutes, but , I may be wrong on that, but don't think so.

Claims minutes are shown on Video tape and audio tapes, Video tapes are copyrighted by the video producer, so I am claiming that they are not public records if copyrighted.  LOL  And those minutes are not approved by the CC when it comes time to approve minutes.
